The soundtrack to the 2018 Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody offers a fittingly cinematic portrait of the iconic rock band, built around a handful of the group's most well-known songs, including live versions and several tracks reworked specifically for the film. As a souvenir of the movie, the soundtrack works especially well. Opening with guitarist Brian May's arrangement of the "20th Century Fox Fanfare," and showcasing his distinctive searing guitar leads, it perfectly sets the tone for telling Queen and Freddie Mercury's story on the big screen. Here we get such beloved classics as "Somebody to Love," "Killer Queen," "Another One Bites the Dust," and "Under Pressure."

Many years ago there was a thriving Queen market for silver discs with labels such as Gypsy Eye, Queen Digital Archives and Wardour pumping out many interesting titles each month. These days Wardour produce a couple of titles per year (and not very good ones at that) and both Gypsy Eye and QDA are gone leaving on Tarantura, trolling the vast Mr. Peach tape archive, as the sole provider of great Queen silver titles. Rare Cuts Vol. 1-6 is the releases of a new Queen-dedicated label Master Stroke. Like QDA a decade ago, their initial efforts focus upon collecting upgrades of very common material and mixing up with much more rare tracks…

The Sheer Heart Attack Tour was the first world tour by the British rock band Queen, and supported their 1974 album Sheer Heart Attack. The year 1974 had started with their first trip outside of Europe and an appearance at the Sunbury Music Festival in Australia. Although the band headlined the event on 2 February, their appearance the next day was canceled. In March, the band commenced on a UK tour to promote their new album Queen II, and then embark on their first trip to the USA.

This 2008 singles collection from Queen comes housed in a flip-top box and contains 13 singles released between 1973 and 1979, including the hits “Killer Queen,” “Somebody to Love,” “Fat Bottomed Girls,” “We Are the Champions,” and “We Will Rock You," all of which feature faithfully reproduced cover artwork and vinyl-perfect audio…

It's a mystery if Queen played both I'm A Man and Mannish Boy during this tour or not. These two songs are similar to each other and while it seems very likely they played I'm A Man as the first encore, rumours say the band also played Mannish Boy in Glasgow (the second night).

This UK EM duo is bound to set the scene on fire with their debut disc. Fans of mid 1970s Tangerine Dream will love the pulsing sequences and dense Mellotron which harkens back beautifully to Phaedra and Rubycon. Composed of four extended excursions, each track is a veritable cornucopia of rhythms, flowing Mellotron backdrops and various space plucks and laser flashes of effectual synthetics. The album is not just a TD copy, but uniquely original in its own right.
