Rick Nelson achieved his first comeback in the spring of 1961 with the double-sided hit "Travelin' Man"/"Hello Mary Lou," and he made it last into 1962 by tapping "Travelin' Man" songwriter Jerry Fuller for the further hits "A Wonder Like You" and "Young World." Nelson did not hold recording sessions for LPs per se, but rather assembled his albums from a series of sessions. In a sense, this meant that a disc like Album Seven by Rick tended to consist of tracks that hadn't already been chosen as singles, presumably because they were deemed weaker than the ones that were picked.

International Recording Artist Sylvia Bennett sings in the key of love with her eleventh studio album titled I Wish You Love. In her own words, "When you talk about love you have to talk about all of it - the joy and the heartache. I Wish You Love is one amazing ride taking you through all the emotions of love."

"I Wish It Would Rain Down" is a 1990 single by British singer Phil Collins. This is taken from a UK CD3 released by Virgin Records.

I made an album. It's called Every Cannonball Is a Wish That Wasn't Granted. The cover is a photo I took in Hamburg, with some magic on it done by amazing designer/awesome friend Pietro.
If you start listening to it, please listen to it all the way. It's short (technically it's probably more of an EP than an album, but ehhhh), but I think each song brings something different, and it all connects very well.

Many of the 42 tracks collected here, 34 of which are being digitally re-introduced to the world, don't sound much like gospel, at least not in the modern sense of the word. Recorded between 1926 and 1936, and done for commercial labels, these are really pre-gospel pieces, religious and sacred songs done in blues, street jazz, choral, and other styles, and some of them are simply passionately delivered proto-rap-like rhythmic sermons. Modern gospel as a distinct musical genre had yet to be codified, and what we really have here are the roots of all that. There's a little bit of everything,

With a musical timeline dating back to her early childhood, Laura Baird is an exceptionally talented multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, best known for her projects with her sister, Meg, as The Baird Sisters, and guitarist Glenn Jones. Baird's own sound stems from the Appalachian folk tradition, and she connects to it via family lineage-her great-great uncle I.G. Greer's folk recordings for the Library of Congress are a large influence. Also woven in are classical composers like Bach and Satie, and modern day musicians such as Opal and Yo La Tengo. With this debut solo album, I Wish I Were A Sparrow, Baird plays odes to the traditions from which she learned, combining Appalachian balladry and the roughness of old field recordings, but there is also a dose of dreaminess and solitude that captures sleepy central New Jersey.
