Poland’s Pinn Dropp fit nicely into the modern prog realm that has been created and grown by bands like Riverside, Kingcrow, Anubis Gate and many others. So while Pinn Dropp aren’t necessary doing anything ground breaking, they do sound as good as many of these contemporaries. “Re: Verse, Re: Treat, Re:Unite” is their debut EP and other than the clunky title, it’s a great listen.

Paramore have shared the tracklist for a new remix album of their 2023 album, This Is Why. The new release, Re: This Is Why, includes reimagined versions of songs from the album, and the list of contributors includes Panda Bear, the xx’s Romy, Bartees Strange, Wet Leg, Claud, Foals, the Linda Lindas, Domi & JD Beck, Zane Lowe, and more. This Is Why is the sixth studio album by American rock band Paramore, released on February 10, 2023. It is the band's first album in nearly six years, following After Laughter (2017), as well as their first album to feature the same lineup as its predecessor. It is also the band's final album under Atlantic Records.

Hailing from Manchester, England, indie rock quartet the Courteeners received regular comparisons in the U.K. press to the leading lights of three previous waves of Mancunian Brit-pop: the Smiths, the Stone Roses, and Oasis. The band's alternately jangly and bombastic brand of indie guitar rock bears the influence of all three acts, as well as comparisons to contemporaries like Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian. Featuring vocalist Liam Fray, lead guitarist Daniel Conan Moores, bassist Mark Cupello, and drummer Michael Campbell, the Courteeners formed in Manchester in 2006, when the 22-year-old Fray – already known around town for his acoustic singer/songwriter gigs – brought three of his childhood friends together to form a proper band.

Finnish melodic death metallers Mors Principium Est (which translates from Latin as "death is the beginning") emerged in 2003 with a punishing amalgamation of Swedish death and Norwegian black metal. Citing the sonic onslaught of contemporaries like At the Gates, Children of Bodom, and Dark Tranquillity as inspirations, the band issued a trio of well-received efforts before going on a short hiatus after the release of 2007's Liberation = Termination. They reconvened with a re-tooled lineup in the 2010s and have continued to hone their icy blend of melody and might on subsequent outings like Embers of a Dying World (2017) and Seven (2020).

Berlin-based DJs and composers Ricardo Villalobos and Max Loderbauer - two of the best-known names in contemporary electronica - share their admiration for music on ECM in a unique double-album of specially-created “sound-structures”. Their project “Re: ECM” will bring the label’s music to a new listenership. It is certain to be one of the most talked-about albums of the season. Using original ECM recordings as a starting point, Villalobos and Loderbauer create new music that bridges several worlds, including ECM’s world of space-conscious improvisation and composition and the worlds of ambient electronics and minimal techno.

Herbert West (Jeffrey Combs) is a brilliant medical student who has perfected a green-glowing serum for regenerating life into dead things – or even parts of dead things. But a corrupt superior, Dr. Carl Hill (David Gale), assumes control of West's experiments and winds up, by ghastly necessity, using the stuff on his own severed head and body. West and in-over-his-head co-worker Dan Cain (Bruce Abbott) struggle to control the now out-of-control effects of the serum, but the bone-saws and zombies complicate their plans.
