Three Blind Mice revitalized the Japanese jazz scene during the 1970s and 1980s. Its initial mission was to proactively produce albums of new musicians. Another goal was to expand its fan base, which was done by releasing albums of famous musicians. Through these efforts, TBM has greatly contributed to enriching the Japanese jazz scene. Tsuyoshi Yamamoto and Isao Suzuki were two of the leading figures who gained prominence by their works on TBM. Yamamoto quickly became a star in the Japanese jazz scene by releasing a series of excellent albums on the label.
When Outstation split suddenly and dramatically following the 2018 album 'Entropy At The Edge Of Chaos' it appeared to be the end of the road for the UK space rockers. Now, unexpectedly, in 2021 they have reformed to record a new album 'Malevolent Energy'.
In a state of post lockdown 'Entente Cordiale' the five members: Amanda Sanderson (vocals), Kris Aylesbury (sax, flute & synths), Steve Blakeley (guitar & synths), Finlay Smythe (bass) and Mark Durrant (drums) got back in touch to catch up and ensure everyone was keeping safe and well…

In 2018, it's time to re-record our classics with this new line-up, we just opened the door to the next stage!” (Kawabata Makoto 2018)
Even more come across the time-worn paths of ether and obscurity: Children on the Corner is a collective made up of ex-Miles Davis sidemen from his eclectic years that include Sonny Fortune, Michael Henderson, Badal Roy, Ndugu Chancler, and Barry Finnerty. The band is led by keyboardist and composer Michael Wolff, the only non-Davis personnel. Rebirth was recorded live over two nights at the popular Oakland, CA, nightspot Yoshi's. The program is a set of tunes from Davis, as well as some group and Wolff originals. The album kicks off with one of the most inspiring readings of Josef Zawinul's "Directions." For over 21 minutes, Fortune and Wolff explore the outer reaches of Davis' loose harmonic universe.
