I really look forward to the holiday season each year. The precious family time, the tightly wrapped presents, the glistening white snow – ok, no glistening white snow for me anymore, I’m in Florida now. And holiday time means holiday tunes, usually starting in about October these days. But if you’re like me, you’re just a little bit tired of hearing the same holiday jingles over and over again each year. Of course, there’s something fun about the first time you hear “Winter Wonderland” and “The Christmas Song” coming through that department store’s speakers. After all, who doesn’t love the holidays? And by Thanksgiving, I’m already pulling out my copy of Jewel’s first Christmas album – that can be our little secret, by the way.

The first Christmas album from Canadian blues / roots phenom Matt Andersen! Matt has collected some of his favorite traditional songs, a few originals and some from his friends and combined them into an intimately rockin' album. Award-winning Canadian blues guitarist and singer/songwriter Matt Andersen is known as one of Canada's hardest-working musicians, averaging around 200 live performances per year. Specializing in an earthy blend of blue-collar folk, electric blues, and roots rock, the New Brunswick native began his musical career in 2002 with the group Flat Top.

Christmas classics played by guitar virtuoso Joel Paterson! Season’s greetings to you all in Hi-Fi! I’ve been kicking around the idea of recording a Christmas guitar album for a while now. Every year I faced the same problem—I would get excited to play Christmas songs around the holidays, but couldn’t finish an album in time to release it before December. In 2016, I posted a series of guitar videos online counting down the days to Christmas. The response to them was overwhelming to me; it was great to know there was still a demand for classic Christmas music. So this summer I got motivated, locked myself in my music room to assemble some of my favorite seasonal songs, and started working on Hi-Fi Christmas Guitar.
