Supa Dupa Fly is the 1997 debut album from Melissa Elliott, known under the name Missy Elliott or along with her nickname, Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott. Released by The Goldmind Inc. in association with eastwest/Elektra, this featured the hits "The Rain", "Hit 'Em Wit Da Hee", "Sock It 2 Me", and "Beep Me 911" and features guest appearances from Aaliyah, Ginuwine, Busta Rhymes, Da Brat, and others. The album was produced by Timothy Mosley, best known under the mononym Timbaland.

Group Home originally began as associates of the group Gang Starr before they formed their own duo. Jamal Felder became Melachi The Nutcracker while James Heath became Lil' Dap and were signed by Payday/ffrr. Gang Starr DJ/producer DJ Premier produced their entire album and this is its first single, the fantastic "Supa Star" from 1994.
