Released in time for the 2015 holiday season, the updated U.K. edition of Now That's What I Call Christmas offers a heaping plate of Yuletide pop favorites spanning multiple decades. From holiday rock perennials like the Pogues' "Fairytale of New York" and Slade's "Merry Xmas Everybody" to more contemporary pop fare like Kelly Clarkson's "Underneath the Tree," this hefty three-disc set covers a lot of ground. The selections on the first disc range from the 1970s to contemporary while the latter two discs go back as far as Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole with bits of vintage Motown, soul, folk, and rock tossed in for variety. Not every track is a surefire classic and more than a few feel like filler, but at 71 tracks, there is more than enough Grade-A holiday music to go around.

A Little Chaos is a British period drama directed by Alan Rickman. The film tells the story of a female landscape designer tasked with overseeing part of the Versailles gardens during the Reign of Louis XIV. Bridge of Spies is a 2015 American historical drama-thriller film directed by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay written by Matt Charman, Ethan Coen and Joel Coen. The film stars Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance, Amy Ryan, and Alan Alda. Based on the 1960 U-2 incident during the Cold War, the film tells the story of lawyer James B. Donovan who is entrusted with negotiating the release of Francis Gary Powers—a pilot whose U-2 spy plane was shot down over the Soviet Union—in exchange for Rudolf Abel, a captive Soviet KGB spy held under the custody of the United States. Frequent Spielberg collaborator, John Williams, was originally announced to compose the film's score. However, Williams had to drop out of production due to a health issue. Thomas Newman was then contacted by Spielberg to replace Williams, marking Spielberg's first film without Williams' music since 1985's The Color Purple, which was scored by Quincy Jones. Hollywood Records released the film's soundtrack on October 16, 2015. All music composed by Thomas Newman.

This 1956 album of standards from Billie Holiday has long been out of print, despite receiving a five star review in DownBeat magazine when released. Holiday was always very demanding about the quality of her musicians and this session was no exception; she is backed by a superb sextet that features Benny Carter on alto sax, Harry “Sweets” Edison on trumpet, Barney Kessel on guitar and Larry Bunker on drums.
