El tiempo va y viene constantemente en Monzón, la serie. El relato comienza con aquella fatídica madrugada del 14 de febrero de 1988, cuando muere Alicia Muñiz, pero la verdadera historia arranca mucho antes, en la década de 1950, en la juventud del personaje de Monzón.Ese constante movimiento temporal fluye en la conciencia del espectador gracias a un excelente trabajo narrativo en el que la música tiene una parte central. En palabras de Sergei Grosny, el cráneo detrás de esa obra musical, “acompañar el desdoblamiento temporal sin que quede un cocoliche, fue el mayor desafío”.

Andrea Farri is an Italian composer who has worked on over 50 different film and television productions. He began playing and writing music at 9. Then, at age 17, he started composing for theatre and dance companies. Shortly thereafter, Andrea was given the Assistant Director position on Roberto Benigni's film with Tom Waits: The tiger and the snow. In 2005, he wrote the soundtrack for two of Jean Vigo’s silent films, “A propos de Nice” and “Taris”. That project led to a tour including live performances while the film played on a screen in the background, just as in times past.

Peter Kooij is one of the leading bass singers in the early music scene, which becomes even clearer on his new CD Die stille Nacht (The silent night) with Passion cantatas for solo bass by Telemann. His agile voice, the simple, yet rich timbre, the well-dosed expressive power: All of this shows Kooijs elegant musicality and makes him an ideal baroque singer, especially for the atmospheric cantatas by Telemann. The Dutch bass, Peter Kooij, started his musical career at the age of six as a choirboy and sang many solo soprano parts in concerts and on records.

The concept behind Magnetism was conceived by designing sounds and interesting textures running an electric guitar played with an E-bow through a range of effects pedals. The E-bow is a device that creates a magnetic field that causes the string of the guitar to oscillate continuously, generating a sound similar to a string being bowed and the first samples collected were released in the popular Kontakt freebie Magnetica.

Ala Bianca Records has released a soundtrack album for the Italian comedy The Big Step (Il grande passo). The album features the film’s original music composed by Pino Donaggio (Carrie, Dressed to Kill, Body Double, Blow Out, The Howling). The soundtrack is being released digitally today. The movie follows two brothers, who resemble each other physically, but have completely different personalities, as they find themselves alone in the face of an impossible venture. The comedy premiered at last year’s Torino Film Festival and will be released in Italian theaters on August 20.
