SUNSTORM, a project originally designed to showcase a musical style similar to singer Joe Lynn Turner’s Melodic Rock/AOR roots, now has a new face fronting the band in the form of Lords of Black and Rainbow singer Ronnie Romero. Romero’s debut album with Sunstorm, “Afterlife” will be released on March 12, 2021. In discussions with producer and songwriter Alessandro Del Vecchio, it was decided that moving the musical style of the next Sunstorm album to the more melodic AOR sound of the first records was what everyone wanted. But with Turner out of the picture, who to replace the formidable vocalist? Ronnie’s name came about when the label decided that continuing the successful project was a must and that the music being crafted would put it back at the forefront of the scene….assuming the right vocalist was involved.
Any hardcore fan of hard rock will certainly be no stranger to the story of Joe Lynn Turner’s career. From his early days with Fandango to his successful stints fronting Rainbow, Deep Purple, and Yngwie Malmsteen and through his heralded solo career, the New Jersey-born singer has had his vocal talents on display for decades now. Years ago, Turner got in touch with Frontiers’ President Serafino Perugino and after discussions between the two, the idea of unearthing some classic melodic rock gems to craft the definitive Joe Lynn Turner AOR album came about. This brought about the release of the first SUNSTORM album in 2006, and then came “House of Dreams” in 2009, “Emotional Fire” in 2012, and the definitively more hard rocking “Edge Of Tomorrow” in 2016. Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of "Brothers In Arms", the new Sunstorm album, the second to feature new lead vocalist Ronnie Romero (Michael Schenker, Lords of Black). Romero’s debut album with Sunstorm, “Afterlife” was released in early 2021 and showcased a rejuvenation of Sunstorm's previous musical formula, mixing Melodic Rock/AOR with more '70s oriented hard rock, ala Rainbow (for which Romero performed as singer). That recipe is perfected on "Brothers In Arms" with new guitarist Luca Princiotta (Doro, Blaze) joining the lineup of Romero, bassist Nik Mazzucconi, drummer Michele Sanna, and keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio.

Nothing's Changed is the second solo studio album by Joe Lynn Turner. Joe Lynn Turner is an American singer, guitarist, songwriter, and producer. He is known for his work in the hard rock bands Rainbow and Deep Purple. During his career, Turner fronted and played guitar with pop rock band Fandango in the late 1970s; and in the early 1980s, he became a member of Rainbow, fronting the band and writing songs with guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore and bassist, and producer, Roger Glover. After Rainbow had disbanded (the first time) in March 1984, he pursued a solo career, released one album, Rescue You, and then later did session work, singing background vocals for the likes of Billy Joel, Cher, and Michael Bolton. On the advice of Bolton, Turner began recording jingles for radio and television.

Songs by legendary acts like Survivor, Bad Company, Foreigner, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and more are given Romero's talented vocal treatment here.
