The box-set will come with a luxurious booklet that will not only give you all lyrics, but also historical photos and liner-notes. For Italy's LACUNA COIL, turning 20 will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, not only for the Milan-based outfit, but also for their diehard fans around the globe.
Issued in August 1970, the ten-track album includes the songs ‘The Shape I’m In’ and ‘Stage Fright’ and was engineered by Todd Rundgren and Glyn Johns. This 50th anniversary reissue presents a new running order (apparently, the originally planned order) and offers a new Bob Clearmountain stereo remix of the album. Alternate mixes of ‘Strawberry Wine’ and ‘Sleeping’ are issued for the first time and also included are seven unearthed ‘field recordings’. These Calgary Hotel Recordings from 1970 offer a fun and loose, impromptu late night hotel jam session between Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko and Richard Manuel of several Stage Fright songs recorded while the album was in the mixing stage.
As the title implies, the 5th StereOMantra album was entirely based on, inspired by and dedicated to the grace and joy of Traveling. Moving out of comfort, experiencing sublime moments of being just a small tiny spot on Earth… is our greatest teacher. A recent expedition to remote shores and lands, being just an unknowing admirer of foreign cultures and nature proved again that happiness only comes from the inside. As long as we are curious, kind and showing full respect to the World, it will smile back on us. Creativity is clearly fuelled by being aware of the power of solitude and becoming One with the infinite space around.
The Amorphous Androgynous return with the symphonic, 40-minute prog space-rock concept album ‘We Persuade Ourselves We Are Immortal’. The album contains 5 epic parts, featuring the legendary Peter Hammill (the Van Der Graaf Generator) on vocals alongside a host of musicians including: Paul Weller (piano and guitar), Ray Fenwick (Spencer Davis Group/Ian Gillan) on lead guitar, Brian Hopper (Caravan/Soft Machine) on sax. The Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir and a 25-piece live orchestral string section round out this sumptuously-recorded album.
