Samplephonics Ethnic Flutes

Our goal was to create something as close to the analogue sound as possible, and keep it simple, functional, and straight to the point. We wanted all sounds to be solid and ready to use. Put simply, we wanted it to sound HUGE!And we think we've done it! We're extremely proud of this hybrid synth and have found it an incredible experience to build, and to use. We teamed up with renowned producer Yoad Nevo, and spent months sampling away at his various analogue synthesisers. We owe a big thanks to Yoad for his expert synth advise and programming, and to everyone else involved in the production of this, especially Phil from Samplephonics, whose attention to detail and scripting expertise has enabled this idea to become a reality.

Komorebi - means sunlight leaking through trees, this word describes the beauty and wonder of rays of light dappling through overhead leaves, casting dancing shadows on the forest floor. Komorebi Flutes is a traditional and oriental Japanese/Chinese wind instrument, a toolkit perfect for scoring, producing electronic styles and meditative music. Like in traditional Japanese and Chinese mask magic Komorebi Flutes has many faces - it can produce a calming Zen sound but it also can haunt you.

The SWAM Flutes bundle includes four instruments: Flute, Alto Flute, Bass Flute, and Piccolo.

Through the songs or ‘chansons’, we are given the chance to be transported back to a point when the word, note, instrument and performer collided to document impressions of a world lived long ago and yet with which we share so much. As songs that had a vibrant life beyond the words, we are afforded an entrance into the evergreen world of instrumental music of the Renaissance, into music that filled the taverns and dwellings of Paris and beyond. This is why these works maintain such relevance for us today.
