Jeff Hamilton Trio has been together for over 17 years and this is their first live recording for Capri! It was recorded in the intimate setting of Alva's Showroom in San Pedro California before an audience of friends and die-hard fans. The tunes are made up of 3 standards including a delightful version of Poinciana, I Have Dreamed from the team of Rogers and Hammerstein and Thelonious Monk's In Walked Bud as well as originals by Hamilton, John Clayton, Tamir Hendelman, Matt Wilson, Joe La Barbara and Georg Robert. The CD is dedicated to Jeff's mom who passed away 16 days after the recording was made.

Saxophone heavyweight Scott Hamilton wanted to make an album that would stand up to the best of them and he wanted to do it the right way. To do this he choose some of his favorite ballads and played the songs live in studio with a large string section, with no overdubs or laid-in tracks. This album was arranged and conducted by Alan Broadbent. The record was recorded in Hollywood on October 5 & 6, 1992.
