The 23 revised full papers and 22 revised poster papers presented together with 3 invited papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 76 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on models for discrete geometry, discrete and combinatorial topology, geometric transforms, discrete shape representation, recognition and analysis, discrete tomography, morphological analysis, discrete modelling and visualization, as well as discrete and combinatorial tools for image segmentation and analysis.

The 36 revised full papers presented together with an invited paper were carefully reviewed and selected from 53 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on applications, discrete hierarchical geometry, discrete tomography, discrete topology, object properties, reconstruction and recognition, uncertain geometry, and visualization.

The 35 revised full papers and 9 revised short papers presented together with 1
keynote lecture were carefully reviewed and selected from 273 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on duality and process modelling, interoperability of IS and enterprises, refactoring, information systems in e-government and life-science, knowledge patterns for IS engineering, requirements engineering for IS, conceptual schema modelling, service infrastructure, service evolution, flexible information technologies, metrics and process modelling, information system engineering, and IS development with ubiquitous technologies.

This volume contains 20 papers, updated in some cases, presented at the first Artificial Intelligence and Symbolic Mathematical Computations (AISMC) conference. As a result, extended and fruitful discussions followed each paper.

The 120 revised full papers presented together with 3 invited lectures were carefully reviewed and selected from 251 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on motion detection and tracking, medical imaging, biometrics, colour, curves and surfaces beyond two dimensions, reading characters, words, lines etc., image segmentation, shape, im age registration and matching, signal decomposition and invariants, as well as features and classification.

The 40 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. The papers cover all current issues in cooperative design, visualization, and engineering, ranging from theoretical and methodological topics to various systems and frameworks to applications in a variety of fields.
