Shannon & the Clams, are known for a diverse sound that incorporates elements of: doo-wop, early rock & roll, classic R&B, garage psych, and surf rock as influences, now releasing their fifth album, Onion. The Oakland-based, indie garage punk quartet is working with producer Dan Auerbach and Easy Eye Sound on this project. Over the last decade, Shannon and her chief collaborator, guitarist Cody Blanchard, have released four albums of ’60s-inspired pop on indie labels, toured tirelessly and have gradually solidified a lineup of devoted Bay Area musicians, Nate Mahan on drums and Will Sprott on keyboards. Onion continues the bands strong points with thirteen catchy, well-written songs, full of beautiful harmonies and twangy, fuzzy, instruments, combined with wild, boisterous vocals.

Shannon & The Clams - "The Moon Is In The Wrong Place" / The Moon Is In The Wrong Place is an upbeat, yet poignant narrative on grief and resilience from Shannon & The Clams. Woven from the threads of devastating loss and communal ties in the aftermath of profound loss - the sudden passing of Shannon's fianceé just months before their wedding - this record unfolds as the Clams' most introspective to date. With Dan Auerbach's production, the album delves deep into themes of heartache and healing, and showcases the band's trademark wry psychedelia, energetic nostalgia, and flourishes of retro beauty. It's a tribute to the power of art and community to triumph over tragedy, and a milestone in Shannon & The Clams' venerable oeuvre.

This is the second album of the British psychedelic folk band Bread Love and Dreams. It's full of really nice melodic progressive folk songs with beautiful acoustic and electric guitars, electric bass, drums and some piano, organ, moothie, flute, African and other percussion and gorgeous female and male vocal and vocal harmonies.
Bread Love And Dreams was a folk-rock duo augmented by some talented session musicians including Terry Cox and Danny Thompson who were in Pentangle at that time. All three albums are now collectables.

Gerry & the Pacemakers' debut album, produced by George Martin and Ron Richards, is representative of the mainstream Liverpool sound beyond the Beatles, circa 1963. Gerry & the Pacemakers based their music around American R&B ballads, coupled with a delight in straight-ahead rock & roll and country music with a beat, in a manner similar to the Beatles…

Released in 2018, Onion finds Shannon & the Clams going through some changes. While the album is a long way from glossy, it's their most polished effort to date; Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys produced the sessions, and though his presence isn't intrusive, the production on this material is cleaner and more mannered than this group has seen in the past, and he's added more layers of instrumentation than is their custom. And while Shannon & the Clams have usually been ready to get the party started, Onion finds them in a slightly more somber mood.
