This thrilling 2014 live recording captured Shorter’s acclaimed quartet with pianist Danilo Perez, bassist John Patitucci, and drummer Brian Blade at the Stockholm Jazz Festival in Sweden. The intrepid set includes some of the band’s favorite vehicles of exploration including “Zero Gravity,” “Smilin’ Through,” “Orbits,” “Lotus,” and “She Moves Through The Fair.”

Pearl Jam rose above the legions of grungy alt-rockers littering the early 1990s to become the most popular and enduring American rock & roll band of their time. Unlike many of their Seattle brethren, Pearl Jam, as a collective, were never signed or affiliated with an indie label – founding members Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament both were veterans of Green River, one of the first major bands on Sub Pop, though – and in an age defined by irony, they were unflaggingly sincere. Much of this earnestness stemmed from Eddie Vedder, a lead singer of uncommon charisma and passion who helped the group's arena rock moves seem intimate.

Tica Douglas returns with new album “Our Lady Star of the Sea, Help and Protect Us” on Team Love Records out May 5th. When Tica started sending friends early demos, they were met with a consistent reply: If 2014’s “Joey” was about turning inwards, these songs were about looking outwards. “Joey” had a raw, concentrated purview: Tica’s quietly turbulent coming-of-age as a gender outlier. “Lady Star,” on the other hand, is the personal turning a little more political and spiritual. Part of this can be attributed to Tica’s pursuing a master’s of divinity right after finishing “Joey.” Pitchfork’s Molly Beauchemin wrote that with “Joey,” Tica’s “ambiguous state of identity is a source of the album’s confusion, yearning and wonder about who ‘Tica’ is and where that person fits in the world.”
