Gilbert O'Sullivan is without doubt one of the UK's most successful singer songwriters. He became a worldwide superstar in the 70's topping the UK and US single charts. Today he continues to be regarded as one of the world s finest songwriters with his songs being covered by major artists including Michael Bublé, Neil Diamond and Nina Simone, with notable admirers including Paul Weller and Mick Hucknall. Gilbert has had 14 top 40 singles including 3 number 1 singles Clair , Get Down and Alone Again (Naturally) in the US. This new 2CD ultimate collection features all of his classic hits but also comes right up to date with his latest single No Way (which has been a massive hit at Radio 2) and the brand new single which is a remixed version of I Guess I ll Always Love You (to be released in June).The tracklisting has been hand-picked by Gilbert and includes a number of his personal and live favourites making this the definitive collection. The new album features 23 tracks not on the 2012 album.

In 1972, one of Jamaica's most popular and successful singers, John Holt, teamed up with British-born record producer, Tony Ashfield to create a style of reggae aimed at appealing to music listeners of all ages and colours throughout the world. By combining Jamaican rhythms with sophisticated western arrangements, the pair succeeded in their aim, producing an album that exceeded all expectations. ‘The Further You Look’ set the standard for what later became widely known as ‘pop reggae’ and quickly became a must-have album for a broad spectrum of record buyers, selling in vast numbers amongst both black and white communities.

Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare are simply known all around the world as Sly & Robbie, the Rhythm Twins. Providing the drum and bass backbone for reggae since the early 1970’s (Dunbar on Dave and Ansell Collins album 'Double Barrel', Shakespeare as a member of the Hippy Boys), the pair have played on more records than any other set of Jamaican musicians. Needless to say, as this is a Jamaican Recordings release, the name Bunny ’Striker’ Lee can't be far away, and it turns out that the duo first worked together in Lee's house band the Aggrovators.

Fallen Angels may have been recorded at the same session as 2015's moody Shadows in the Night, but its tone is very different. Call Fallen Angels the Nice 'n' Easy to the No One Cares of Shadows in the Night: they're both tributes to Frank Sinatra, but the 2016 album is light at heart…

Before they were Fleetwood Mac, they were John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. Never before heard live performances from 1967. In 1967, before there was a Fleetwood Mac, Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood were John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. The four musicians were only together for three months, which makes it even more remarkable that a staunch fan from Holland was able to sneak a one channel reel to reel tape recorder into five London clubs and capture this exciting glimpse into music history. For almost fifty years these tapes have remained unheard until John recently got them and began restoring them with the technical assistance of Eric Corne of Forty Below Records. Corne adds "While the source recording was very rough and the final result is certainly not hi-fidelity, it does succeed in allowing us to hear how spectacular these performances are." Volume 2 showcases three John Mayall originals including the opening track, all-time blues classic "Tears In My Eyes"; "Chicago Line", complete with John McVie bass solo; and "Please Don't Tell", a great example of the power blues The Bluesbreakers were revered for. Thanks to dedicated fan Tom Huissen who took his one channel reel-to-reel tape recorder into various London clubs in 1967, these historical performances were captured for all time.

Multinational ensemble THE SAMURAI OF PROG was formed as a project lead by Finland-based Italian composer and bassist Marco Bernard. He's been active in the Finnish Association for Progressive Music since 1995, and have been involved in their Colossus Magazine since 1996 - and instrumental in the Colossus series of theme albums they have created in cooperation with French label Musea Records. It was for a contribution to one of those projects that The Samurai of Prog was born, and joining Bernard as permanent members we find US artist Steve UNRUH and Finnish drummer Kimmo Pörsti. Besides this core trio, the philosophy of this band appears to be to involve additional musicians as needed and wanted, and their debut effort Undercover from 2011 bears testimony to that line of thinking, with a list of guest appearances impressive in length, scope as well as quality.
