"American Teen" is the forthcoming debut studio album from R&B artist Khalid, and with the co-sign of Zane Lowe & Apple Music, it could be yet another outstanding LP in what's without a doubt going to be a major rebound year for the R&B genre. It comes preceded by the smash single “Location”, launched back in August. The project also includes the next promotional singles “Saved”, “Coaster”, “Let’s Go” and “Hopeless“. Khalid recently decamped from his native El Paso to Los Angeles to pursue a music career. He's still a teenager but after his single "Location" blew up last year, he may be poised for big things.

Having made his debut last year with American Teen, Khalid has now announced a follow-up effort. The singer has revealed plans for a new EP titled Suncity, which will arrive October 19. As he noted in his announcement, it signals the "start of a new era." You can find the EP's artwork above, picturing Khalid sitting in the sun out front of a house. This year has seen Khalid contribute to albums from 6LACK, Kendrick Lamar, Buddy and Shawn Mendes. He released single "Better" last month.

Free Spirit is Khalid’s sophomore studio album following his break-out debut LP, American Teen, and his first EP Suncity, dedicated to his hometown of El Paso, Texas.
