Everyone was astonished that there can be a major composer out there with such beautiful, accessible music that people don’t know. These are intriguing works with the wonderful Sibelius qualities we know. I really, really believe in this music and I want people to hear it.

Eva Knardahl Freiwald (10 May 1927 – 3 September 2006) was a Norwegian pianist, with a noted career both as a child prodigy and adult performer.

He has premièred hundreds of works for the oboe and made many critically acclaimed recordings of both new and familiar music. As a soloist he has appeared with the world’s leading orchestras, performing a huge range of repertoire and premièring works written specially for him by many of the world’s greatest composers. He is a founder member of the Britten Sinfonia, Haffner Wind Ensemble, Orsino Ensemble, and Britten Oboe Quartet.

Für seine erste, sehr erfolgreiche Aufnahme mit Klavierkonzerten Mozarts hat Martin Stadtfeld von der Presse großes Lob bekommen. Jetzt widmet er sein neues Doppel-Album dem jungen Mozart. Zwei »Salzburger Klavierkonzerte« hat er mit dem Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg unter Mozart-Spezialist Ivor Bolten eingespielt: das erste Klavierkonzert KV 37 des 10-jährigen Mozart (von 1766) und das lange als »Jeunehomme« bekannte Klavierkonzert Nr. 9, KV 271, welches 10 Jahre später entstand und als erstes Meister-Konzert gilt. Für beide Konzerte schrieb Stadtfelld neue Kadenzen.
