Esoteric Recordings label is proud to announce the release of the very first 4CD collection of every album and single track recorded by the legendary Atomic Rooster between 1970-1974. Sleeping for Years is a clamshell boxed set anthologising all the recordings made by the band on the classic albums Atomic Rooster, Death Walks Behind You, In Hearing of Atomic Rooster, Made In England and Nice n’ Greasy and on such hit singles as Tomorrow Night and Devil’s Answer.
Atomic Rooster was formed by former Crazy World of Arthur Brown members Vincent Crane (Organ, Piano, Keyboards) and Carl Palmer (drums). Their self-titled first album was recorded in 1970 with Nick Graham on bass, vocals & flute, but the band soon splintered when Carl Palmer departed to join ELP…
Sleeping Pandora is a project established by Berlin based guitarist Mathias Rosmann. Since some years now he's exclusively operating on solo paths. Very productive, as 'All The Way' represents the sixth studio album so far. A significant trademark is the somewhat hypnotic chillout mood in general, a perfect scope for his typical echo respectively reverb guitar performance he's known for. This, with good reason, includes several Kosmische Musik reminiscences, akin to the likes of Günter Schickert, Manuel Göttsching, or Achim Reichel if you will.

Very productive, as 'Signs In The Sky' represents the fifth studio album so far. On a side note, while trying to express melancholy, also foresight maybe, kitschy or not, the album cover picture may divide the listeners. Anyhow, Rosman succeeds in providing a pleasant experience in general, that counts.
"Devil's Answer" might be the record for which Atomic Rooster are remembered, but it was their second album that posted warning that they were on the verge of creating something dazzling – simply because the record itself is a thing of almost freakish beauty. With only organist Vincent Crane surviving from the original lineup, and John Du Cann coming in to relieve him of some of the songwriting duties, Death Walks Behind You opens at a gallop and closes with a sprint…
Sometimes you can judge a book by its cover. Live and Raw: 1970-1971 is indeed live and it is indeed raw. Very raw – nose-bleeding, flesh-tearing, ear-achingly raw. No matter that the two live performances within were broadcast live on the BBC and should, therefore, exist in pristine quality somewhere on earth, this is the view from the other side of the dial, with a tiny mono microphone pressed up against a little transistor radio capturing the only known live recordings of the earliest classic Atomic Rooster lineups: 1970's John du Cann/Vincent Crane/Carl Palmer lineup and the 1971 incarnation that saw Paul Hammond replace Palmer.
