While armies have seized enemy records and rare texts as booty throughout history, it was only during World War II that an unlikely band of librarians, archivists, and scholars traveled abroad to collect books and documents to aid the military cause. Galvanized by the events of war into acquiring and preserving the written word, as well as providing critical information for intelligence purposes, these American civilians set off on missions to gather foreign publications and information across Europe. They journeyed to neutral cities in search of enemy texts, followed a step behind advancing armies to capture records, and seized Nazi works from bookstores and schools. When the war ended, they found looted collections hidden in cellars and caves. Their mission was to document, exploit, preserve, and restitute these works, and even, in the case of Nazi literature, to destroy them.

A live recording by the Super Quartet that was realized at Makoto Ozone's annual Christmas concert held in Tokyo in December 2013 has finally been released 10 years after the performance.

Messiah (HWV 56) is an English-language oratorio composed in 1741 by George Frideric Handel. The text was compiled from the King James Bible and the Coverdale Psalter by Charles Jennens. It was first performed in Dublin on 13 April 1742 and received its London premiere a year later. After an initially modest public reception, the oratorio gained in popularity, eventually becoming one of the best-known and most frequently performed choral works in Western music.

For about five years singer Helen Vogt and producer/songwriter Sascha Blach have been working secretly on their mutual project Lighthouse In Darkness, which finally sees the light of day with the album „The Melancholy Movies“. Together they created a filmic album, which combines elements from Trip-Hop, Electronica and soundtracks. It has a unique sound, which appears yearningly, emotional and nostalgic – like a cinema for the ears.
