Après son étonnante exhibition au concours de chiens de bergers, le gentil petit cochon Babe fait un retour triomphal dans la ferme des Hoggett, où il reprend une vie paisible, aux côtés des autres animaux. Jusqu'au jour où il précipite accidentellement son maître au fond d'un puits, dont celui-ci ressort avec de multiples fractures. Son mari immobilisé, la brave Mme Hoggett se dépense sans compter pour tenter de faire face à toutes les obligations de la ferme, sans pouvoir empêcher les affaires de péricliter. Menacée de saisie par la banque, elle accepte d'exhiber Babe dans un nouveau concours moyennant rétribution. Mais pour s'y rendre, elle doit prendre l'avion. Et son escale dans une grande métropole tourne à la catastrophe…

The sequel that surpasses the original. Babe, the extraordinarily polite pig with the sweetly persistent manner, tries to raise money in the great megalopolis for the ailing Hoggett farm. There Babe discovers a land of violence and sadness. At an animal hotel, Babe falls in with a circus family of monkeys, including a hip chimpanzee couple and a morose orangutan-the animals, who speak in dark ironies, have the real depression of lifetime circus performers. There is also an irascible, motoring Jack Russell terrier, whose arthritic hindquarters are mounted on wheels, and a variety of predatory mastiffs with an eye for porkers. Like its illustrious predecessor, "Babe: Pig in the City" has slightly oversaturated children's-book colors-oranges and yellows and blues-but the emotional tone of this movie is painfully funny, with violent, sardonic, and knowing touches that may leave children slightly baffled. The director, George Miller, works low to the ground, from the animals' point of view, and with great cartoon intensity. As before, the three mice, singing French cabaret songs and a bit of Dino, serenade each section of the movie.

The Impossible Missions Force is an elite group of agents chosen for their various abilities to infiltrate foreign governments as well as criminal organizations that are seen as threats to the security of the nation. Originally they were lead by Dan Briggs, but he was replaced by Jim Phelps after one year. Among its members are electronics executive Barney Collier, actor and master of disguise Rollin Hand, model Cinnamon Carter and strongman Willy Armitage. In later years Rollin leaves the team and is replaced by another master of disguise simply known as Paris and Cinnamon is replaced first by young Dana Lambert and then Lisa Casey

Cette série, immortalisée par la musique de Lalo Schifrin et son entrée en matière, via un magnétophone, « Bonjour, Monsieur Phelps. Votre mission, si toutefois vous l'acceptez… », met en scène une équipe d'agents secrets américains, membres de l'IMF (Impossible Mission Force) à qui l'on réserve les missions les plus délicates. Chacun de ces espions est expert dans un domaine : maquillage, déguisements, mise au point de matériel très sophistiqué,… Dans la plupart des épisodes, l'équipe intervient dans des pays, tous fictifs, d'Amérique latine ou d'Europe de l'Est. Leurs missions sont très diverses et très dangereuses : coups d'État, déstabilisation, désinformation, manipulations, complots, substitutions, infiltrations, contre-révolutions, etc. Dans le contexte de la guerre froide, ils sauvegardent les intérêts des États-Unis et de leurs alliés.
