Spandau Ballet Music Shhet

The group Apollo's Fire, also known as the Cleveland Baroque Orchestra, was founded by its present conductor Jeannette Sorrell. Playing on period instruments, the modestly sized ensemble delves into the later end of the repertoire with this Mozart disc on the Avie album. Sorrell makes the curious choice to open the program with the well-known, powerful Symphony 40 in G minor, a work that concludes with such fervor and drama that it would seem more appropriately placed at the conclusion of the disc. Sorrell's vision for Mozart seems to be one of modest intensity and tempo diversity. Neither of the outer movements are noticeably driven or brisk, and the inner movements are likewise unsurprising in their execution.

Digitally remastered and expanded deluxe two CD edition of the British New Romantic/Pop band's 1982 sophomore album bursting with bonus material. One of the most successful and enduring groups of the New Romantics-era. Disc One contains the digitally remastered version of the album along with bonus remixes of their singles 'Chant No. 1', 'Instinction', 'Paint Me Down' and 'She Loved Like Diamond', all of which are appearing for the first time in CD format. Disc Two collects together the b-sides from these singles, extra 12' remixes and a previously unreleased live BBC show from April 1982.

The debut, 'Journeys To Glory', reached No 5 in March of '81, and now appears remastered on CD1 of the reissue alongside the original 7'' versions of singles, 'The Freeze' (UK #17), 'Musclebound' (UK #10) and it's b-side 'Glow'. Whilst CD2 brings together the original 12'' mix of their first single, 'To Cut A Long Story Short (UK # 5), further 12'' remixes of 'The Freeze' and 'The Glow' and a previously unreleased BBC Session from March 1981.
