After successfully collaborating on Narcos, for whom Rodrigo Amarante composed and sang the theme song “Tuyo” and for which José Padilha produced and directed, the two Brazilians have teamed up again for 7 Days In Entebbe. The film tells the real life story of the 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight en route from Tel Aviv to Paris, and the rescue mission that took place.

Chuck Lichtenberger is a musical iceberg. At first listen, it is easy to note that his formal education in Jazz and music theory have trained his hands and ears. But underneath the surface, Lichtenberger is so much more than just a highly skilled piano player.

Open Mindframe is a music project, founded by Daniel Hren & Alexander Wilm in 2012. In cooperation with various musicians around the globe, Open Mindframe seeks to create a multi-influenced and experimental sound-experience. With a vast amount of sounds at his disposal and his interest in synthesizer modules of the 90s, Daniel Hren focuses on producing Open Mindframe music with a keen eye on the drums and percussion creating an innovative sound with recognition. Combined with the scratchy-distinctive voice of Alexander Wilm and his songwriting, they build the core of the project.

Kutten, Chöre, Tore … beim SV Werder Bremen wird gerne laut und viel gesungen und so wie der Fußball verbindet auch Musik die Menschen und weckt Emotionen. 120 Jahre LAUTER Werder: Ein besonderes Album von Fans für Fans. 19 Künstler und Bands - die Werder im Herzen tragen - wie Johannes Strate, Jan Delay, Heinz-Rudolf Kunze Flo Mega, JokA, Gloria, Versengold, Rhonda, Afterburner uvm. sind zusammengekommen, um dem SVW ein Ständchen zu singen und Gutes zu tun. Insgesamt 21 vielfältigste Tracks aus Rock, Pop, Hip Hop und Soul und vor allem ganz viel WERDER sind auf dem Album zu hören. Neben den etablierten Künstlern sind u.a. auch 5 Newcomer vertreten, die durch einen Bandcontest ausgewählt und unter 128 Einsendungen eine Jury um Ehrenspielführer Clemens Fritz sowie u.a. Vertretern von Radio Bremen Vier und Bremen Next überzeugte. Alle Erlöse des Sampler gehen in integrative Bremer Nachwuchs- und SPIELRAUM-Projekte der Werder Stiftung und der Musikszene Bremen e.V., um Talente zu fördern sowie Kinder und Jugendliche zu unterstützen.

A composer-pianist after his time, Sergei Bortkiewicz (1877-1952) continued to write music in the post-Romantic Russian tradition well into the 20th century: based on Liszt and Chopin, influenced by Tchaikovsky and Russian folklore, and insulated from Modernism. His craftsmanship was meticulous, his imagination colourful and sensitive, his piano writing as idiomatic as one would expect from a performer coached in the grand manner of 19th-century virtuosity. His voice is strongly established in even his early works: preludes, studies and ballades followed, as well as two grandiloquent sonatas.

The band’s second album is somewhat different and comes with 12 original songs written by their guitarist, Mark Twang. Sandy & The Wild Wombats are in fact a live band with a frenzied live show - and this, along with a thrill of ecstasy, is exactly what the band captured on record. The sound of the Wild is truly based on 1950s Rockabilly. The new album is full of Rockabilly rhythms mixed with more or less modern Rock'n'Roll rattles, some Blues orientated songs, some Country-influenced tracks, plus a ballad. And on top of it all is the wonderful voice of Sandy. Her singing has a strong resemblence with the vocal style of the late great Wanda Jackson. However, she’s singing in a way completely her own. Sandy has left her personal mark on every song.

Da sich WAGE WAR erst nach dem großen Metalcore-Boom nach der Jahrtausendwende als Empires gründeten, gehören sie definitiv zu den Nachahmern der Pioniere und haben bisher tatsächlich auch keine zukunftsträchtigen Akzente für ihr Genre gesetzt. Ihr drittes Album zeigt nun eine Band auf der Schwelle zu musikalischer Autarkie.
