En cet été 1959, la petite ville de Castle Rock dans l'Oregon est marquée par la disparition d'un adolescent. Gordie, Chris, Teddy et Vern, 4 enfants délaissés par leur famille et qui n'ont peur de rien savent que l'enfant est mort et que le corps se trouve à une cinquantaine de kilomètres d'ici. C'est ainsi qu'ils vont partir à sa recherche et, au cours de leur voyage, apprendre à mieux se connaître et à pouvoir compter les uns sur les autres.

This is one of the aspirations many had when they fought against racism. They understood that for this aspiration to succeed everyone must participate in the project of completely transforming society to eradicate racial divisions and achieve equal treatment. Today, with the increasing demand to recognize the seemingly insurmountable gap between black people and white people, identity-based anti-racism has become more of a hindrance than a solution for a better and freer world for us all.
