Reflections in Repose captures the pure essence of Steve Roach's ever-deepening intimate embrace of silence, breath, rich harmonic inventiveness, and shifting liminal states; it's a sound and style completely unique to his electronic/ambient vision. Created over two evenings at the close of 2023, the music was recorded in the same sequenced flow as presented on the two discs’ 116 minutes. The five long-form tracks were performed on a single instrument - the Oberheim OB-X8 - the modern equivalent of the iconic Oberheim OB-8 which Steve used 40 years ago in the making of his classic piece "Structures from Silence.”

There are several live versions of Steve Hackett and Djabe compositions previously not released on a Djabe & Steve Hackett live albums. Stunning 2CD Set Featuring The Live FM Broadcast Recording From Steve Hackett s 1981 Tour Having gained prominence as the lead guitarist of Genesis between 1971 and 1977, for whom he contributed to six studio albums and three live albums, Steve Hackett left the band in October 1977 at the culmination of their Wind And Wuthering tour. Steve had made his first solo record in 1975, while still a member of the prog-rock maestros, and following his departure, produced three more albums between 1978 and 1981. For his fifth record, Cured, Hackett changed direction. It was recorded without the band with whom he had worked since 1979 (save for contributions from Nick Magnus and brother John Hackett) and features Steve handling all the lead vocals.

More meticulously crafted than its predecessor Arc of a Diver and more musically adventurous than its follow-up, Roll with It, Back in the High Life represents the pinnacle of Steve Winwood's '80s pop output. High production values, interlocking percussion lines, R&B backing vocals, horns, synthesizers, and ideas borrowed from various world musics enhance and update Winwood's proclivity for blues, R&B, and rock. His distinctive blue-eyed soul vocals are, naturally, at the front of the mix as well. The runaway number one single, "Higher Love," with its syncopated groove, pan-African percussion, and slick Top 40 production, kicks off this accessible set…
