Original soundtrack for the film “Embers” is released. This film is based on the story written by the Akutagawa Prize awarded novelist Fuminori Nakamura, and directed by Junpei Matsumoto, starring Yuya Yagira, with Masato Yano, Yu Hirukawa, Kenichi Takito, and Lily. This delicate film score composed by a piano and a string quartet with courtesies and sympathetic manner, are to express the emotions and feeling of the main character Keito played by Yuya Yagira and other characters in the story.
The Messiah by Gottfried August Homilius (1714-1785) was performed by the Sächsisches Vocalensemble and the Batzdorfer Hofkapelle under the conductor Matthias Jung at St Anne’s Church in Dresden on the occasion of the three-hundredth anniversary of the composer’s birth on 5 June 2014, and is now being released on CD by cpo. Homilius is regarded as one of the most significant church composers during the transition between the baroque and classical eras.
A massive live set from Cannonball Adderley – and a record that really shows the growth he'd undergone in just a few short years! The album's done in close collaboration with David Axelrod – who'd handled Cannon's big live dates for Capitol in the 60s – but this record is much more freewheeling, open-ended, fuzz, funky, and electric overall! Tracks are all nice and long, and really trip out in the best way – with keyboards from George Duke in the core group, plus some heavy basslines from Walter Booker, drums from Roy McCurdy, and guitar from Mike Deasy on a number of key tracks.
A new four-disc box set featuring classic live sets by Frank Sinatra performed in London will be released next month. Universal Muisc Enterprises have worked with Frank Sinatra Enterprises to create the appropriately titled London which focuses on projects from between 1953 and 1984, bringing to light more than 50 previously unreleased tracks.
Between 1958 ansd 1961, the Azerbaijani composer, Arif Melikov brought together the strongest elements within the Russian and Soviet ballet tradition to create the score titled Legend of Love. It was the first large-scale work written by the 28-year-old composer, and eventually brought him worldwide fame. “The Legend helped me see the world”, he remembered.
Casualties of Cool is a project by prolific musician/producer Devin Townsend, who handles vocals, guitars, bass, and keyboards on the album, and Ché Aimee Dorval who handles vocals, and guitars. The duo is helped out by a varity of session musicians.

The references in BLUE CAMUS go back almost one hundred years to Garcia Lorca’s poetry (referenced in “The King of Harlem”), Orwell’s fantastic fiction (found in “A is for Alligator”) and a bit more recently to Albert Camus’ philosophy of existentialism.
