Susanna Elevation

Paul Hindemith’s life was dominated by the events of the two world wars. In 1917, his discovery of contemporary Expressionist poetry and drama transformed him from a talented student to Germany’s leading new composer. His one-act operas Sancta Susanna and Das Nusch-Nuschi date from this period.

2023 release. Susanna Hoffs, cofounder of the multi platinum-selling Bangles, career solo artist, and one of pop music's premier interpreters, has partnered with legendary producer, Peter Asher (James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, 10,000 Maniacs) to curate and record a collection of Susanna's favorite classic and contemporary popular songs, including gems by the Rolling Stones and Squeeze, and newer songs by Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Joy Oladokum and Brandy Clarke.
