Face the Music is the fifth studio album by Electric Light Orchestra released in 1975 and the first to be recorded in Musicland Studios Munich. The band featured yet another new line-up with bassist Kelly Groucutt and cellist Melvyn Gale replacing Mike de Albuquerque and Mike Edwards respectively.

It was also their first recorded at Musicland in Munich, which became Jeff Lynne's preferred venue for cutting records. At the time, he was also generating songs at a breakneck pace and had perfected the majestic, quasi-Beatles-type style (sort of high-wattage Magical Mystery Tour) introduced two albums earlier. The sound is stripped down a bit on Face the Music, Louis Clark's orchestral contributions generally more subdued than on Eldorado, even when they compete with the band, as on "Strange Magic"…

Lakeshore Records will release a score album for the sci-fi comedy Bill & Ted Face the Music. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (A River Runs Through It, Crash, The Accountant, Once Upon a Time, Fly Away Home, Little Fires Everywhere). Bill & Ted Face the Music is directed by Dean Parisot and stars Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Kid Cudi, Kristen Schaal, William Sadler, Anthony Carrigan, Jayma Mays, Jillian Bell, Holland Taylor and Erinn Hayes. The sequel will be released in theaters and on PVOD on August 28 by United Artists/Orion Pictures.

Excellent addition to any prog-rock music collection
Clearly, ELO was a progressive band, although most people never looked upon them as that because of their long run on the pop charts.
