The "Gypsy jazz" - also known as Gypsy swing - is an expression that is often said to be born with the guitarist Jean "Django" Reinhardt in the 30's. Because its origin is, to a large extent French, it is often referred to as "Gypsy Jazz" or "Manouche Jazz" even in English texts. Between 1930 and 1950, Django was at the head of a group of gypsy guitarists working in Paris and around.

Swing Republic are a Danish Electro swing duo, specialising in Electro-Blues and Vintage Remix fronted by producer Per Ebdrup and vocalist Karina Kappel. Formed in 2005, the duo have released a number of Albums and Singles on the record label Freshly Squeezed music, going onto appear at club night 'White Mink'. Prior to forming Per Ebdrup produced a number of tracks with artists such as: Ida Corr, Aura Dione & Gauzz. Electro swing project that blends vintage jazz with a positive contemporary vibe. Caro Emerald is a Dutch jazz singer who emerged in 2009 with the smash hit single "Back It Up" and made her chart-topping album debut in 2010 with Deleted Scenes from the Cutting Room Floor. Born Caroline van der Leeuw on April 26, 1981 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, she studied music at the conservatory, specializing in jazz and subsequently working as a vocal coach. Her breakthrough success came in 2009 with the single "Back It Up," written and produced by David Schreurs and Jan van Wieringen of Grandmono Records, along with songwriter Vincent de Giorgio. "Back It Up" began as a summertime hit but ended up spending 21 weeks on the Dutch charts, from July to December. Its popularity was enhanced by a couple different remixes, one by Kraak & Smaak and another featuring Madcon.
