The Department of Film presents the first comprehensive American retrospective of the films of Goran Paskaljevic (b. 1947, Belgrade), one of Europe’s most respected directors, featuring new 35mm English-subtitled prints of 13 features and two shorts by the director.

Here we have the best of Lukas Moodysson, which is good indeed. 'Show Me Love' is the politically correct title of his film about teenage lesbians in a small Swedish town, their angst and their relationship. Then there is Lilja-4-Ever, about a young Eastern European girl forced into prostitution: food for thought there. 'Together' is about a Swedish commune which takes in a suburban family during the 1970's, some comedic moments and good entertainment. 'A Hole in My Heart' is a somewhat more experimental film, definitely not meant for watching with the whole family.
