Guns, Cars & Sitars is the 1998 album credited to Bombay The Hard Way. It is a project created by Dan Nakamura, better known as hip-hop producer The Automator or Dan The Automator. These are new mixes and edits of songs originally released on Indian movie soundtracks. While DJ Shadow has been attached to this project leaving some to believe he had a major hand in this, he only offered one drum sample in "My Guru". This is completely an Automator project. This came out on the Motel label.

This volume provides a comprehensive guide to three major theaters of combat: the Atlantic, the Mediterranean, and the Indian Ocean. The war at sea was a critical contest, as sea-lanes provided the logistical arteries for British and subsequent Allied armies fighting on the three continents of Africa, Asia, and Europe. Land forces ultimately won World War II, but the battles at sea fundamentally altered the balance of military power on the ground.

The latest in our series of limited edition CD releases features the Marketts, a studio surf and hot rod band that was the brainchild of producer Joe Saraceno. 12 tracks are new to CD while most of the rest are currently out of print. Compiled and annotated by instrumental specialists Dave Burke and Alan Taylor, this compilation is subtitled The Best, The Rarest and The Unreleased. This is the first comprehensive compilation of their work. It features the work of Jack Nitzsche, Rene Hall, Plas Johnson, Tommy Tedesco, Hal Blaine, Leon Russell, Steve Douglas and Glen Campbell. This CD brings together the very best of the material that The Marketts cut for Warner Brothers between 1963-66 including all of the rare sides from the later 45s plus an unissued track in the shape of Makaha (a Hawaiian resort) which was cut at the same session as Out Of Limits. It serves as a fitting testament to the times when a couple of can-do guys with a pocketful of great ideas could walk into a studio full of top class pro-musicians and turn out hit records that would capture the imagination of millions of record buyers worldwide.

Model Based Design and Simulation

For his debut solo recording, double bassist Toby Hughes explores the versatility and musicality of the double bass as a solo instrument. Released on Champs Hill Records, and recorded together with pianist Benjamin Powell, Hughes presents some of the finest original compositions for the double bass, including Adolf Mišek’s Sonata no.2, Glière’s Four Pieces, and Giovanni Bottesini’s beautiful Elegia.
