2009 two CD collection of Disney classics penned by brothers Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman The Sherman brothers were hired by Walt Disney himself as his first and only staff songwriters. Their music has been an important part of motion pictures, theme park attractions, television productions, vinyl records, CDs, and Broadway shows, entertaining millions of people all over the world. Presented here are 59 songs highlighting the Sherman brothers' incredibly prolific Disney years from Annette's 1959 hit 'Tall Paul' to their work from The Tigger Movie in 2000. Newly restored with the latest digital technology, this collection features not only their landmark hits from Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, The Jungle Book and 'It's A Small World,' but a number of their other classics, many available for the first time on CD.

This brash pop metal quartet was formed in Los Angeles, USA, during 1984 by vocalist Stephen Frederick and guitarist Bill L’Kid. With the addition of Jeffrey Velvet (bass) and Randy Delay (ex-Georgia Satellites; drums), they signed a contract with MCA Records the following year. Fusing the energy and flamboyance of Van Halen with the commercial sensibilities of REO Speedwagon, they recorded the impressive Sworn To Fun in 1985. Failing to attract media interest, they disbanded soon after the album’s release.

This expansive Box Set contains all 63 of Tony Bennett’s albums in separate facsimile LP jackets, three DVDs, six volumes of Bennett’s non-album singles, a previously unreleased CD of his Las Vegas debut from 1964, and two discs of rarities, including Bennett’s first recording, an Army V-Disc of “St. James Infirmary Blues,” making it an absolute treasure trove for Bennett fans and collectors.

Some of Bobbi Humphrey's greatest work of the post-Blue Note years – an album that's filled with soulful fusion tunes throughout, all with a great focus on her funky flute! Bobbi also sings a bit on the set, but in a way that's pretty darn great – wonderfully sweet at times, with a bit of an influence from Minnie Riperton that really warms up the set. Arrangements are by Cleveland Eaton, with a bit of help from Art Jenkins – and production is by Ralph MacDonald, who clearly has a great ear for the blend of jazz and soul that Bobbi's going for on the set.

The poor man's Bootsy Collins, Captain Sky channels the sprawling cosmic-funk consciousness of Parliament-Funkadelic to create a slicker, more commercial version of their pioneering sound. As Xerox copies go, his debut LP, The Adventures of Captain Sky, isn't half bad, sacrificing the resolution and depth of the original but still managing to deliver some impressively heady space-cadet disco. Captain Sky (aka bassist Daryl Cameron) is no George Clinton but his outsized grooves and celebratory melodies are undeniably propulsive. With its bubbling bassline and blistering percussion breaks, the 12-minute epic "Super Sporm" (later sampled by everyone from Afrika Bambaataa to Boogie Down Productions) is an underground funk classic and for good reason, but the entire record makes for a surprisingly consistent and engaging listen.
