The Story OF MY Life Helen Keller

'The Story of My Life' is Helen Keller's autobiography detailing her early life, especially her experiences with Anne Sullivan. The book is dedicated to inventor Alexander Graham Bell. The dedication reads, "To ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL Who has taught the deaf to speak and enabled the listening ear to hear speech from the Atlantic to the Rockies, I dedicate this Story of My Life."

When she was 19 months old, Helen Keller (1880–1968) suffered a severe illness that left her blind and deaf. Not long after, she also became mute. Her tenacious struggle to overcome these handicaps-with the help of her inspired teacher, Anne Sullivan-is one of the great stories of human courage and dedication.

THE BRILL BUILDING is an 11-story Art Deco office block, at 1619 Broadway, Manhattan, where the songwriters who shaped 1950s and 60s R&R, R&B and Pop music wrote, demoed and published their songs.

Other significant Brill Building songwriters included Ben Raleigh, Jack Keller, Bob Hilliard, Phil Spector, Paul Evans, Hank Hunter, Helen Miller, Tony Powers, Larry Kolber, Paul Hampton, Mark Barkan, Bobby Darin, Rose Marie McCoy and others.
