"I speilvendthet" is Trojka's first LP, released by Tik (vinyl/digitally) & Apollon Records (CD), and showcases both the trio's instrumental skills and songwriting versatility. Their progressive pop (as they label their music) takes many shapes on this record: the classic, energetic 70's prog rock sound based on drums, bass and keys/synths (think ELP, Rush, Yes) with clear influences from more contemporary jazz, fusion, pop and electronica, and enriched with additional instruments such as saxophone, flute, strings, vibraphone and acoustic guitar. The result is 42 minutes of adventurous, groovy, dreamy and mind-boggling music with great variety and depth, matched by the Norwegian lyrics that span from the profound to the whimsical!
