Klaus Schulze, one of the most illustrious exponents of the kraut-electronic musical current, was born on the 4th of August 1947, right in Berlin, the heart of the entire action. He has also used the alias Richard Wahnfried. He was briefly a member of the electronic band Tangerine Dream as well as cofounding Ash Ra Tempel before a pioneering and prolific solo career of 40+ albums (totalling 110+ CDs) in 30+ years.
In 1969, Klaus Schulze was the drummer of one of the early incarnations of Tangerine Dream for their debut album Electronic Meditation. In 1970 he left this group to form Ash Ra Tempel with Manuel Göttsching. In 1971, he chose again to leave a newly-formed group after only one album, this time to mount a solo career…

Giovanni Battista Viotti (1755-1824) was an Italian violinist and composer, and one of the major figures in the advancement of modern violin performance. While he is remembered today for his 29 violin concertos, which proved to be his most original and enduring works, he was a celebrity in his day for his phenomenal playing. His intermittent career as a violinist took him from Versailles, where he joined the court of Marie Antoinette, to concerts in London. After failing at a wine business, Viotti turned to managing the Paris Opéra and taught several rising violinists, including Rodolphe Kreutzer

Libor Pešek, born in Prague, recorded this rich collection of works by Dvořák with two orchestras that are closely linked with his name: the Czech Philharmonic, a natural choice for this repertoire, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. While Helloween can hardly be called a true "singles" band, this hefty box spread across seven discs stands as proof positive that they belong in the conversation of great European metal bands. The band combined the structures of Iron Maiden with the propulsion of Motorhead, stopping just short of thrash or speed metal; compared to contemporaries like Metallica and Slayer they could almost be considered traditionalists.
