CSN is an official 4CD box set by David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash, commonly known as the trio Crosby, Stills & Nash. Released in 1991, it focuses on CSN as a group and sometimes Y (Neil Young) plus some of their solo material, Stills' Manassas project and the Crosby/Nash collaborations. This was released by Atlantic.

Two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and founding member of both the Hollies and Crosby, Stills & Nash, Graham Nash returns in 2023 with his first studio album of new material in seven years, entitled 'Now'. The album is produced by Nash himself and longtime touring keyboardist Todd Caldwell.

Crosby, Stills & Nash's eponymous debut album marks the point where rock music transitions from the heady explorations of the 1960s into the burnished self-reflections of the '70s. Upon its release in 1969, the album ushered in a new era, one where revolutions turned inward as the music got quieter and softer, creating a soundtrack for a generation easing into adulthood. Maturation looms large in the collective work of David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash, who were occasionally joined by Stills' former Buffalo Springfield bandmate Neil Young, who was added to help fill out the band's sound as they headed out on tour that wound up shattering all previous records for ticket sales. CSN(&Y) made music for grown-ups during their '70s heyday, an aesthetic that eventually evolved from folk-rock into adult contemporary pop in the '80s.

There are also background vocals from the likes of James Taylor, Carole King and Jackson Browne. This is a solid little album of rich melodies and solid vocal harmonies and exemplifies their enduring appeal over the last 30 years.

The biggest ribbons in composer/arranger Gil Evans' (1912-1988) resume are three groundbreaking Columbia Records albums he recorded with trumpeter Miles Davis: Miles Ahead (1958); Porgy and Bess (1959); and Sketches of Spain (1960). These were orchestral jazz of the finest caliber, recorded a decade after Evans' earlier work with Davis on the seminal Capitol Records set Birth of the Cool, released in 1957. Evans' charts—written with the the inclusion of the then unusual (in jazz) French horns and the then out-of-fashion tuba—tended less toward the brassy, in-your-face, wall-of-sound horn harmonies and more toward softer shades, less primary colors, more a mixing in of diaphanous pastels and airy, floating harmonics that seemed to trail silk curtains into the sound.
