NOW That’s What I Call Music! is excited to celebrate our 40th anniversary, and we are proud to present four very special collector’s editions that together present 250 essential hits from the past 40 years on CD. The first of these is NOW That's What I Call 40 Years: Volume 1 - 1983-1993. Looking back at 10 years of huge Pop hits, this special edition 3CD is housed in ‘hard-back-book’ packaging, including a 26-page booklet featuring a summary of the era, a track-by-track guide, a quiz, plus original singles and NOW artwork.

Above the album worked the 'NOW Decades Of Soul ', and his release took place on 2021. The album has got songs with a total duration of more than an hour. A compilation is a compilation of original music.

CD1 kicks off with Queen's outstanding ‘Don't Stop Me Now’, followed by Def Leppard's anthemic ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ and Meat Loaf's classic ‘Bat Out of Hell’. CD2 opens with a stellar run of defining classics of the genre, beginning with the iconic ‘Born To Run’ from Bruce Springsteen and followed by Paul McCartney & Wings' explosive ‘Live And Let Die’, The Who's timeless Baba O’Riley. CD4 delivers the ultimate collection of Rock Ballads and Power Anthems – the epic Rock-opera of Meat Loaf's ‘I'd Do Anything For Love` opens the disc!

NOW Music are excited to present the next in our latest series - ‘NOW 12” 80s’. This instalment – 1981 – is released on October 20th 2023.The 12” single was a dynamic and increasingly essential part of the release schedule as the decade progressed. Incorporating extended (sometimes full album) versions, remixes, and re-inventions – they not only gave the dancefloor a longer version, and the listener an alternative take, but also highlighted the artistry of the producer – bringing together all kinds of elements to create new soundscapes woven together with the original track, either vocal or instrumental, to present another reason to be excited on release date.

Im Gonna Be is a song written and performed by Scottish duo The Proclaimers, and first released as the lead single from their album Sunshine on Leith. You Spin Me Round is a song by British band Dead or Alive on their album Youthquake. The song was the first UK number-one hit by the Stock Aitken Waterman production trio. She Drives Me Crazy is a song recorded by group Fine Young Cannibals. Everybody Wants to Rule the World is a song by English band Tears for Fears. It was their seventh Top chart hit, peaking at number two. Footloose is a song co-written and recorded by American singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins. The Way You Make Me Feel was written and co-produced by Jackson, and produced by Quincy Jones.

CD1 kicks off with a run of Synth-Pop gems from established artists Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, Blancmange, Gary Numan and Talk Talk alongside some newer bands, The Lotus Eaters, Freur and After The Fire… Japan released a live instrumental, and Yello, Divine, Rockers Revenge and Freeez presented fantastic club tracks. The second disc opens with a stunning collection of Indiesingles from Bauhaus, Marc And The Mambas, The Stranglers and The Glove – featuring members of both The Cure and Siouxsie And The Banshees! CD3 features some huge and long-established superstars Billy Joel with the stunning opener Goodnight Saigon, Bonnie Tyler, Lionel Richie, Mike Oldfield, The Kinks, Olivia Newton-John and U.S. hit for Kenny Rogers and Sheena Easton with a cover of Bob Seger’s ‘We’ve Got Tonite’.
