Originally released in 1986, 'Animal Magic' is the second album from The Blow Monkeys, which gave the band their commercial breakthrough after 1984's critically acclaimed debut 'Limping for a Generation'. 'Animal Magic' features the hit single 'Forbidden Fruit' and the classic 'Digging Your Scene', which was a top 20 hit in the UK, the US and worldwide. The album, a triumph of intelligent, soul influenced sophisti-pop, is a treasure trove of superbly crafted gems including 'I Backed A Winner (In You)', which sees singer Dr Robert backed by the acapella singers The Demon Barbers, and 'Sweet Murder', featuring Jamaican reggae musician Eek-A-Mouse. In 1973 the band Chicago played a string of dates culminating in two nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden on 14 and 15 June. The support act was Bruce Springsteen, and the tour was, to say the least, not a happy experience for him, as Christopher Sandford relates in Springsteen: Point Blank: “Things soured in Philadelphia…’Kids were throwing rolls of toilet paper,’ says [manager, Mike] Appel. A fan bounced a basket ball off Springsteen’s piano. ‘They’re not paying attention to me,’ was his wild understatement to his manager. Something similar, or worse, happened at Madison Square Garden…Springsteen ran off stage in New York, announced he was quitting, ‘shrieked like a beast’ at Appel and burst into tears. After the recriminations had died down, he vowed he’d never play another ‘shed’ and ‘never as someone’s butt-fuck.’ ‘I told Bruce, okay, no more big venues,’ says Appel.”

Speaking of Beatles collector's items, it would be the famous "Get Back" album, "Judo Arena", and this "Sweet Apple Tracks". I think people over 40 probably own at least one of these analog titles. This work is a reprint of that "SWEET APPLE TRAX" including the jacket.The content includes the sound source of the Get Back session in January 1969. As you know, this session has the impression that it is redundant and scattered, but the songs that can be enjoyed as songs have been compiled well over two discs. The Get Back Session is not only useful as a reference material, but even those who are not good at listening can extract and enjoy the essence of it, and it is an excellent content even when listened to with modern ears. In fact, I think there are many long-time fanatics who feel nostalgic about this song order and arrangement.
