On Thanksgiving Day 1976, The Band (Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Hudson, Richard Manuel, and Robertson) took the stage for the very last time at the Winterland Theatre in San Francisco for The Last Waltz. Joining The Band on stage throughout the evening was an unprecedented group of pioneers in music including Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Muddy Waters, and Neil Young, among others. This the 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition includes all the original audio content the entire concert, as well as rehearsals and outtakes. Among the rarities are performances not featured in the film, such as “Furry Sings The Blues” with Joni Mitchell and “All Our Past Times” with Eric Clapton, plus rehearsals for “Caravan” with Van Morrison, “Such A Night” with Dr. John, and “King Harvest (Has Surely Come)” a song that was not performed in concert. The CD version also includes newly-penned liner notes revered music journalists David Fricke and Ben Fong-Torres along with a classic essay from 1977 written by iconic author Emmett Grogan.

The Tragically Hip have announced they will be releasing Live At The Roxy worldwide as a standalone live album on June 24 through Universal Music Canada.

THE DOORS: 50TH ANNIVERSARY DELUXE EDITION includes a remastered version of the album’s original stereo mix, available on CD for the first time in a decade and remastered for the first time in nearly 30 years. The album’s original mono mix was also remastered for this set and is making its CD debut here. An LP-version of the mono mix is also included. The third disc features live performance from The Matrix in San Francisco recorded just weeks after The Doors was released.

Absolutely incredible soundboard recording of this fantastic performance. If you are a big fan of the Adore era of this band in 1998, then this is a must own. Live at the Viper Room 1.15.98 is a live album by The Smashing Pumpkins documenting the January 15, 1998 solo acoustic performances by Billy Corgan and James Iha at the The Viper Room. It is the second installment of the archival series after Live at Kawasaki 2.24.92, though Live at the Viper Room shipped first. In this edition, Iha debuts his solo material for Let It Come Down, while Corgan debuts the new songs for Adore, both only on acoustic guitar.
