Violinist Isabella d’Éloize Perron and conductor Francis Choiniere, recognized as two generational prodigies, have collaborated to introduce a refreshing interpretation of Vivaldi and Piazzolla’s Four Seasons, recorded at the presitigious Maison Symphonique in Montreal, and culminating in a new album set to release on March 22nd, 2024.

Drawing from two sides of the musical spectrum–Tango and Baroque–comes Lara St. John's newest recording, featuring the Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela and Eduardo Marturet. The disc features Antonio Vivaldi's seminal work, The Four Seasons, which is the top-selling classical work of all time, paired with The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, Astor Piazzola's tribute to Vivaldi. There is tremendous interest in this orchestra, and this is the first time it has recorded with the Ancalagon label following successful recordings with the Deutsche Grammophon label.

With her version of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Leila Schayegh continues her exploration of the violin repertory, always combining musical insight, virtuosic brilliance and historical understanding. Over the last years, the Swiss musician and professor in the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis has become one of the leading violinists of her generation. On this dazzling new exhibition, Schayegh –who plays a late-17th-century Andrea Guarneri instrument– is joined by the fine and colourful ensemble Musica Fiorita, directed by Daniela Dolci. The opera composer Vivaldi is omnipresent in all of the four concertos, also thanks to the use of elements of Baroque theatre: the sounds of wind machines or bird whistles contribute to making this a delightful, fascinating and “different” version of one of the most recorded works of all times.

For the second time, the violinist and jack-of-all-trades Igor Malinovsky releases an album on GENUIN. His previous brilliant production of Russian violin sonatas is now followed by a marvelous classic of the concertante violin repertoire: Vivaldi's most famous concerts, the Four Seasons. Malinovsky's violin merges with the instruments of the Dresden Residence Orchestra, which he founded, to form an incredible unity. Everything sounds historically informed, but not dry, musical, but not romanticized. A recording as fresh as a spring rain!
