The Great Divide Hodson

Two professionals in their 50s made a choice that some might call crazy: they pulled out of their busy lives for two months and tackled what is called the most challenging bike route in North America. In The Spirit of the Trail, Carrie Morgridge and her husband John take you along this journey.

In March 2016 Billy Bragg and Joe Henry, guitars in hand, boarded a Los Angeles-bound train at Chicago's Union Station looking to reconnect with the culture of American railroad travel and the music it inspired. Winding along 2,728 miles of track over four days, the pair recorded classic railroad songs in waiting rooms and at trackside while the train paused to pick up passengers.

A previously unreleased solo live show from the late Richard Manuel, one of the lead singers of the Band, includes a mix of Band classics, two original instrumentals, & exquisite covers of Ray Charles, Fats Domino, & J.J. Cale. Recorded in 1985 at Woodstock's The Getaway club. Features guest appearances by Rick Danko & Jim Weider.
