The Insider Ost

Black Book (Dutch: Zwartboek) is a 2006 Dutch World War II film co-written and directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Carice van Houten, Sebastian Koch, Thom Hoffman and Halina Reijn. Based on a true story, the film is about a young Jewish woman in the Netherlands who becomes a spy for the resistance during World War II after tragedy befalls her in an encounter with the Nazis. The soundtrack was released on 2 October 2006 by Milan Records. The album contains four 1930s-1940s songs sung by Carice van Houten as she performed them as Rachel Stein in the film. Three are in German, one in English. The other tracks are written by Anne Dudley.

This ex-Dead Can Dance member imparts her own mixture of the ethereal, the worldly, the emotionally abstract, and the purely beautiful to all of her projects. She's been universally recognized and acclaimed for her body of work: she received a Golden Globe and was Oscar-nominated for the "Gladiator" soundtrack. She has also worked on such high profile movies as "Ali" and "The Insider". This release is a soundtrack for the New Zealand indie film "Whale Rider", already the biggest grossing film in New Zealand ever. Gerrard's music, combined with the motion picture, provides an experience of profound power and spiritual enlightenment.

A story about the curse of time, the pull of fate, and the eternal power of love. The score is composed by Dead Can Dance's Lisa Gerrard (Jane Got a Gun, I, Frankenstein, Samsara) and James Orr. Songs on the collection include 'Like It Or Not' by Bob Moses, 'Someone to Stay' by Vancouver Sleep Clinic and 'Grow' by Frances.

Decca Records will release a soundtrack album for Adam McKay’s political comedy drama Vice. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Nicholas Britell (Moonlight, The Big Short, If Beale Street Could Talk, Succession, Battle of the Sexes). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 7 and will be available to download on Amazon. Vice is written and directed by McKay and stars Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Steve Carrell, Sam Rockwell, Jesse Plemons, Alison Pill, Lily Rabe, Tyler Perry, Justin Kirk and LisaGay Hamilton. The movie explores the epic story about how a bureaucratic Washington insider quietly became the most powerful man in the world as Vice-President to George W. Bush. The dramedy, which just received six Golden Globe nominations today, will be released in theaters on December 25 by Annapurna Pictures.
