UK four CD set. The definitive Motors release, a 42 track round up of all that the band released during their time with Virgin Records 1977-80. Includes the UK hit singles "Dancing The Night Away" (#42), "Airport" (#6), "Forget About You" (#13) and "Love And Loneliness" (#58). Features the band's three studio albums The Motors (#41), Approved By (#60) and Tenement Steps. Disc 4 features the band's two sessions for the legendary John Peel show, neither of which has been commercially released before now. 20 page booklet features detailed liner notes by Record Collector journalist Joe Geesin, a long time champion of the band. Many rare B-sides, 12" versions and re-mixes have been added to give a comprehensive collection of The Motors recorded output. Housed in a clam shell box with each CD coming in it's own cardboard wallet - The Motors have never looked or sounded better!

Digitally remastered two CD set containing a trio of albums by the blues great. Includes Taj Mahal's three Warner Bros albums from 1976, 1977 and 1978. From his early days as a member of the Rising Sons with Ry Cooder, Mahal has had a long, commercially successful (and critically acclaimed) career. Music Fuh Ya' made the US Top 200, and he followed it by the soundtrack for the civil rights film Brothers' Evolution was his last for Warner Bros and a major label. Fifty years on, Mahal is still actively gigging and loving the music he plays. This set is slip cased, and comes with extensive liner notes.

They were the studio musicians behind some of the biggest hits in the 1960s and 70s. From Be My Baby to California Girls Strangers in the Night to Mrs. Robinson You've Lost that Lovin Feelin to Up, Up and Away and from Viva Las Vegas to Mr. Tambourine Man the group dubbed The Wrecking Crew played on them all. Six years in a row in the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Grammy for Record of the Year went to Wrecking Crew member recordings. One of the most soulful sessions we've ever heard from Japanese pianist Masabumi Kikuchi – a brilliant quintet outing that features some really great work on tenor and soprano sax! Kikuchi's piano is usually enough to grab our attention, but the album's got a great added bonus in the presence of Kosuke Mine on soprano sax and Hideo Miyata on tenor – both players whose horns bring in some added sharpness to the date, and further underscore the spiritual elements in Kikuchi's music – almost with the same mix of reeds and driving rhythms you'd find in the post-Coltrane work of Elvin Jones. Titles include "Green Dance", "Bell", "Admire But Destest", "Gin Kai", and "Drizzling Rain".

Truth & Soul Records is proud to present the debut album from Jr. Thomas & The Volcanos 'Beware'. Junior Thomas is a songwriter, musician, vocalist, and producer born north of Minneapolis, MN. He developed a sincere devotion to classic Jamaican music at a young age, listening to such artists as Dave Barker, The Bleech- ers, The Wailers, Phyllis Dillon, and Alton Ellis. 'I wanted to make a record that was honest and true to the golden era of Jamaican music' says Thomas. After several conversations with reggae producer Brian Dixon, they both realized they were on the same page.
