The Police Live

Despite its very crappy album cover graphics, Ghosts Of The Police…Exorcized is a nice 3CD compilation by The Police. The first two discs consists of material from their albums while Disc 3 is a live CD featuring recordings from different sources. This was released by Analogkid in 2018.

Zenyatta Mondatta, The Police’s third studio album, released in October 1980, was written during the group’s second tour and recorded in four weeks. The band members have often expressed disappointment over the album, going so far as to re-record two songs during a brief, unsuccessful reunion in 1986. The Police embarked on a tour of the world the day of the album's completion, beginning in Belgium and finishing in Australia. One of the very finest shows on the tour took place on the final leg, and indeed two days before the whole thing concluded. Performing in Melbourne, Australia, on February 22nd 1981, for a concert which was recorded for live FM Radio Broadcast, The Police would only play two more shows after this date, also both in Australia. The Melbourne gig was something of a (premature, perhaps) tour finale, and indeed something of a party atmosphere prevailed. Previously unavailable, this staggering show is now released in its entirety on this new CD title.

Many Miles Away is a 1992 bootleg CD by The Police on The Swingin' Pig. It is from an FM broadcast of a show done in Le Spectrum in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 2 August, 1983 in support of their Synchronicity album.

As a cherry on top of their just launched reunion tour, multi-platinum rap metal outfit Rage Against The Machine have newly given a digital release to their 1998 effort, “Live & Rare“. That compilation was originally released in June of 1998 exclusively in Japan. It features live performances captured during the band’s touring from ranging from 1993 all the way to 2000. It also features their b-side tracks “Darkness” and “Clear The Lane“, along with live covers of N.W.A.‘s “Fuck Tha Police” and Public Enemy‘s “Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos“, complete with a guest appearance from Chuck D.

Combining a love for British guitar pop songcraft with crunching power chords and a flair for the absurd, Cheap Trick provided the necessary links between '60s pop, heavy metal, and punk. Led by guitarist Rick Nielsen, the band's early albums were filled with highly melodic, well-written songs that drew equally from the crafted pop of the Beatles, the sonic assault of the Who, and the tongue-in-cheek musical eclecticism and humor of the Move.

Live & Rare is the first live album and the first compilation of material by the American rock band Rage Against the Machine, released only in Japan on June 30, 1998 by Sony Music Japan and only available overseas as an import. It comprises "official bootlegs" previously available on other singles as well as a pair of tracks from the band's 1991 demo.

This was the band's second night opening for The Who, and the recordings were originally discovered by Joe Strummer while packing for a move. It was first released in October 2008. Glyn Johns made the original recording from the live show, while David Bates and Mark Frith restored and remastered the recording.
