The Prize Fighter 1979

Invasion Of The Booty Snatchers is the 1979 album by Parlet. This was Parlet's second album and they were ladies who were part of the P. Funk empire lead by George Clinton. They were not another group of women who were part of P. Funk, The Brides Of Funkenstein, but a different set of ladies altogether. This was remastered in 2013 and reissued by Real Gone Music.

"Back in the Streets" is a 1979 EP by the American heavy metal band Dokken. According to band founder/singer Don Dokken, Back in the Streets was a demo tape that was stolen from him. It is an illegal bootleg for which the band sees no royalties or financial remuneration. Since it is a bootleg release, Don Dokken has reportedly stated that it is acceptable to duplicate this material. Dokken's rationale is that releasing the material to the public domain will severely curb the ability of the bootleggers to profit financially.

The Love Connection is the 1979 album by American jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard. This was reissued on Wounded Bird in 2009.

The McCrarys (Linda, Alfred, Sam, and Charity McCrary, and sometimes Howard McCrary) were a gospel family group out of Los Angeles whose hip and urban style in the late '70s was well ahead of its time. Naturally, as a result, they never saw tremendous commercial success. This set combines two of the group's albums, 1978's Loving Is Living and 1979's On the Other Side, in a single package.

La-La Land Records, Sony Music Entertainment and Paramount Pictures boldly go where no soundtrack reissue has gone before with this deluxe 3-CD set of 1979's STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE, composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith. The first big screen voyage of Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock was a high budget and ambitious undertaking that introduced Goldsmith's famous and enduring Star Trek march (later used as the main theme for Star Trek: The Next Generation) as the cornerstone of an epic science fiction musical odyssey. This 3-CD set presents the score for the 1979 theatrical release (filling disc 1 and part of disc 2) and also premieres the legendary early "rejected" cues that Goldsmith recorded prior to composing his famous main theme. The 1979 album program (much of which is performed and edited differently as compared to the film) completes disc 2, with disc 3 offering additional alternates (including those heard on the previous Sony expanded release) along with a wealth of bonus material.

After signing with Chrysalis Records for—at the time—the highest paid contract for a new band, The Babys released their self-titled debut in 1976, with Broken Heart following the next year, containing the Top 20 hit “Isn’t It Time.” Released at the end of 1978, Head First arrived, and the newly expanded band featuring future-Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain and bassist Ricky Philips hit the road. (Waite, Cain, and Philips would later reunite in the platinum-selling act Bad English, whose “When I See You Smile” hit #1 in 1989.)
