Live At the Opera House is the first-ever full release of Sylvester’s iconic 1979 concert at the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House, previously available only as heavily edited excerpts. The album features 13 unedited songs from the performance, plus a recording of the mid-concert ceremony where Sylvester was awarded the key to San Francisco, culminating in over an hour of previously unreleased music and a total runtime of over 2 hours.

Kleeer formed in New York City in 1972 under the name of Pipeline. They then became the Jam Band before Kleeer was born and a deal with Atlantic Records followed. Between 1979 and 1985, Kleeer released seven albums on Atlantic, proving worthy of a spot on the venerable label’s impressive R&B roster. All of those LPs are collected on The Atlantic Collection 1979-1985, a new 8-CD box set from Cherry Red’s Robinsongs imprint. The eighth disc rounds up 15 bonus mixes encompassing single edits, instrumentals, and extended versions.
