The Red

Music for The Native Americans is a 1994 album by Robbie Robertson, compiling music written by Robertson and other colleagues (billed as the Red Road Ensemble) for the television documentary film The Native Americans. The album was Robertson's first foray into writing music specifically inspired by his Mohawk heritage. Robertson brought in his son Sebastian Robertson to handle the drums on "Golden Feather", "Skinwalker", "It Is a Good Day to Die" and "Words of Fire, Deeds of Blood". His daughter Delphine Robertson sings backing vocals on "Coyote Dance".

The Alexandrov Ensemble (commonly known as The Red Army Choir in the West) is an official army choir of the Russian armed forces. Founded during the Soviet era, the ensemble consists of a male choir, an orchestra, and a dance ensemble. The Ensemble has entertained audiences both in Russia and throughout the world, performing a range of music including folk tunes, hymns, operatic arias and popular music. The group's repertoire has included The Volga Boatmen's Song, Katyusha, Kalinka, and Ave Maria. It is named for its first director, Alexander Vasilyevich Alexandrov (1883–1946).

As Bruce Springsteen labored over the album that would become Born In The U.S.A., E Street Band tenor saxophonist Clarence Clemons took the opportunity to create this busman's holiday, fronting a septet he called The Red Bank Rockers. The group's lead singer was John "J.T." Bowen, a gruff-voiced shouter in the tradition of Wilson Pickett, and Clemons assembled such songwriters as Ellie Greenwich and Desmond Child to put together a set of neo-'60s R&B ravers. Also included was Springsteen's "Savin' Up," on which The Boss played rhythm guitar.

King King was The Red Devils' first and last album they ever recorded, this for Rick Rubin's Def American label. Their music was blues rock and even though the album claims it was produced by Rick Rubin, it sounds like a high quality audience recording, which may have been deliberate. It is gritty and raw like moist underwear. Bill Bateman and Gene Taylor became members of The Blasters, Jonny Ray Bartel played with The Knitters, Tyrone Wells, and Walter Trout.
