"The Way Is Read", a twelve-song album by the English trio The Staves – Emily, Jessica, and Camilla Staveley-Taylor (all vocals) – and New York City–based ensemble yMusic. After being commissioned in 2016 by Justin Vernon’s Eaux Claires Festival to collaborate on a live performance piece, The Staves delved deep into yMusic’s catalogue of contemporary classical compositions to find pieces suited to their lyrics and vocals. While the Festival is known for bringing musicians together for one-off performances, this is the first time one of those partnerships has made the leap into a studio album.

Just as their music was more multi-dimensional than you might be led to believe by their trio of Top 100 hits, so was their story more complex than many would imagine. Could there have been any other band whose brief career whisked them through the orbits of the Carpenters, the Fifth Dimension, Jackson Browne, the Jefferson Airplane, Mary McCaslin, and John Davidson, ending at the even unlikelier destination of a pre-stardom Gregg Allman?

No More Shall We Part is the eleventh studio album by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, released on 2 April 2001 in the UK (and 10 April in the US). The album came after a 4-year gap from recording, following the much acclaimed album The Boatman's Call. Cave had to overcome heavy heroin and alcohol addictions in 1999-2000 before starting work on the album. It was met with mostly positive reviews. This is Limited Edition with Two Bonus Tracks and a Cdrom with Exclusive Footage of the Band. The Bonus Tracks Are 'bless his Ever Loving Heart' and 'grief Came Riding'.

The Undertones slam-bang punk-pop drew its strength from one simple fact: you didn't need a secret handshake to enjoy it. John and Damian O'Neill mated infectious guitar hooks to '60s garage, '70s glam rock, and Feargal Sharkey's signature vocal quaver. Those qualities came together on their breakout hit "Teenage Kicks," whose simplicity harked back to '60s ideals of when the song was king. This Anthology showcases the very best of The Undertones & includes 27 previously unreleased demos, alternate takes, session & live tracks.

Hypnogogue, the band’s 26th(!) album, continues to bear the signature sound of founding member, singer and bass player Steve Kilbey. The album is mannered and dreamy, combining the Britishness of early Pink Floyd like 1968’s Saucerful of Secrets, with the measured intensity of later Pink Floyd albums like 1988’s The Delicate Sound of Thunder. While Australian, Kilbey’s accent and vibe position him with other dapper and aging British crooners of alt-rock, including The Jam’s Paul Weller and The Velvet Underground’s John Cale.
