This 1972 studio recording is the ultimate Tales Of Hoffman. The recording was originally an LP on the ABC label in the Westminster Legacy issues, but digitally remastered and edited for cd by Deutsche Grammophon. Deutsche Grammophone cd labels are famous for remastering legendary and classic recordings of classical music and opera and they have outdone themselves again with this one. It features virtuoso singers at the top of their game and the orchestra is directed under the baton of the seasoned conductor Julius Rudel.

The Chronicles of Father Robin is a Norwegian progressive rock band consisting of members from the bands Wobbler, Tusmørke, Jordsjø, and The Samuel Jackson Five. The music is inspired by the 70's Prog scene and was conceived over a period of 30 years. In 1995, in a Norwegian high school, they worked on the whole concept of the Father Robin trilogy. After some line-up changes and the addition of musicians, the band started to rearrange some old songs and work on new material which resulted in 18 songs of Symphonic Prog released as a boxset first and separately in September 2023.

The Chronicles of Father Robin is a Norwegian prog-rock supergroup, with members hailing from Norway’s symphonic prog kings Wobbler, the ever non-definable Tusmørke, seasoned post-rockers The Samuel Jackson Five and the elusive prog gem that is Jordsjø. “The Songs & Tales of Airoea”, 30 years in the making, is a cohesive triple concept album with 18 songs set in an alternate archaic world for over a period of three decades. The first album, “Book I”, will be released on September 15th, with the single Eleision Fields preceding it.

Progressive rock usually takes its inspiration from litterature, especially when it comes to science-fiction or fantasy. Edgar Allan Poe is usually regarded as the father of these two genres, especially with his famous novels, translated in French by Charles Baudelaire in 1856 under the title "Histoires Extraordinaires". The American author was the perfect subject for this project by the Musea label and the Colossus fanzine. A mountain to climb as well… Here are the artists that rose up to the challenge: Marco La Muscio, Senogul, La Théorie des Cordes, Oracle, N.O.T., Dunwich, Guy Leblanc, Jinetes Negros, Karda Estra, Jukka Kulju, Anima Morte, Blank Manuscript, Areknames, Little Tragedies, Armalite, Chansonoir, Magnetic Sound Machine and Daal.
