This Christmas 2007

With the “Christmas With My Friends” concert recording a long-time dream come true for me.I have always wanted to perform these songs of joy, but in my own way and with good friends as company, being able to concentrate on the music without any boundaries. It is with great pride and happiness that I am presenting this Christmas concert to you. It is the Christmas I dreamed of as a kid and I kept on dreaming till I got the chance to fulfil it and now it ́s here, right in front of me and you. I am as happy as a kid on Christmas Eve when the gifts are handed out (yes, that ́s the way we do it in Sweden). The music on this recording is a choice of songs that I have come across during all the years of dreaming of making this project. ~ Nils Landgren

2007 two CD set from the Popabilly crooner. Shakin' Steven's can truly claim the '80s, in chart terms, were his. Indeed he spent more time on the UK chart than any other artist during that decade, racking up no less than 27 top 30 hits of which four hit the top spot and a further seven breached the Top 5. He's sold in excess of a staggering seven million singles to date. A loyal, predominantly female fan base ensured 'Shaky's' success and it's one that puts him in with the Beatles and Elton John who can claim the same chart domination for the '60s and the '70s respectively. This selection contains all those hits as indicated and more. 37 tracks.

Most of the notables on GRP's roster in 1988 participated in this pleasing Christmas CD. There is one selection apiece from guitarist Daryl Stuermer, Tom Scott, David Benoit, Diane Schuur, Dave Valentin, Lee Ritenour, Gary Burton, Yutaka, Chick Corea's Elektric Band ("God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"), Szakcsi, Eddie Daniels, Mark Egan, Special EFX, Kevin Eubanks and Dave Grusin. This relaxed set will be enjoyed by fans of those artists.
